About Me

Hiya! My name is Madeleine and I'm a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Cambridge, studying Modern and Medieval Languages. I am currently specialising in French and Portuguese Language, Italian Dialectology, and History of Art. I have been with the Oxbridge Launchpad for over a year but have been tutoring and mentoring students for over three years now. Additionally, I work with prospective students and offer-holders through the admissions and outreach departments at my college, running webinars, student tours, and academic engagement sessions.


Outside of studies, I’m particularly into sports, cinema, and cooking, and I’m actively involved in many college and university societies at Cambridge.


Having come from a state comprehensive school in Manchester, I’ve always been keen to help people from a diverse range of backgrounds gain access to Oxbridge. This year, the student I mentored was successfully offered a place directly at her college and subject of application! During this period of mentoring, I honed my approach to mock interviews, replicated 'supervisions', designed mock admissions tests, and offered general coaching and Q&A sessions.


I’m a flexible and friendly person, happy to support you in any way I can during this difficult application process! Please feel free to get in touch. Thanks to prior work volunteering in schools, mentoring in summer programmes, and working closely with students, I also hold an enhanced DBS.
