About Me

Hi, I'm Jack - a fourth-year (Part III/Masters) maths student at Queens' College, Cambridge. I have over 5 years of experience in helping students navigate the tricky Oxbridge maths application process, as well as coordinating the Oxbridge Launchpad's Summer Programme in both maths and computer science.


I have extensive experience supporting students through the two main parts of the application process: 


Interviews - Drawing on an extensive bank of past interview questions (and regularly coming up with my own) I have delivered mock interviews on behalf of multiple schools and outreach organisations. Beyond feedback on the mathematical aspects of the interview, I also provide students with hints and strategies that they can use to really engage with the unfamiliar format.


Admissions Tests - I have delivered intensive tutoring to successful MAT and STEP applicants. Building on my own success in STEP (top 10% in STEP III in my year) I have developed extensive tutoring resources including a large bank of worked past questions. I have also worked for OCR as one of the STEP examiners, meaning I am well-placed to explain exactly what examiners are looking for and how to develop your exam technique for the challenging STEP format.


Beyond this, I really enjoy discussing anything and everything maths with prospective applicants, and would love to hear where your interests lie and what I can do to help your Oxbridge application!
